@Steedrider He looks pretty even at the trot :) I think it's just the way he moves and because the video is slowed down. A lot of horses do have hindleg problems as they age though

to have a rider on his back whilst being blind...this horse must have a lot of confidence in the rider
-
that's really a beautiful horse :)

Is he blind? ='(

I have a question about the sequence 2:48 - 2:54: the outer hindleg seems to be delayed right after it takes off the ground, the flow seems slightly stopped. Is this intended? Of course in collection, the hindlegs move more controlled but here, the movement seems to stop for a moment. Thank you :)

A horse that nickers to a human is a huge compliment as this is how horses greet each other when they are pleased to see each other!!!!! Good job. Lovely horse, nicely ridden. Valerie Jonckheer-Sheehy Veterinarian specialised in Animal Behaviour Problems

So beautiful!
Are he blind on both eyes?
-
Just shows how much trust a horse can have in a person

That horse is so beautiful!

What a beautiful horse and great rider he is amazing!

Actually, I highly doubt that horse is lonely. Maybe a little reserved or uninterested at times in the video. But for the most part, he looks to be a happy horse who concentrates well on his job.

Thanks for all the comments of the video so far!
Regarding Filur and the lonely look in his eyes is because of his blindness - it makes the eyes sit deeper in the socket.
He has company in another blind horse - Hugin - and they play with each other over the fence. They are kept in separate paddocks but are able to communicate over the fence and do mutual grooming, etc.
Filur is one of the few horses I know of that knickers when he senses his headstall is being prepared for lessons!
