  • I want to get a mandarin or a scooter blenny. which one is easier to keep. I dont want to get both because of room. I have a Scopas Tang, a Yellowtail Damsel, a pajama cardinal, lawnmower blenny and a banggai cardinal. 10 kg of live rock and pods already in the water. which will be better in my envirement.

  • @ElectrifyStudios Hi, thx for your question, I would say that if you have a cover on top of your tank the Scooter is more likely to get use to the given foods. I mention the cover because I had two of them jumping out in the past.... Also, the Scooter are more resistent to bad water level. I have to say that when they are feed properly and they have enough copepods in the tank both fish are pretty hardy and are not really pick on by other fish...

  • You know you don't really need a refugium;I raise copepods in a separate tank altogether and feed it phytoplankton. Good vid anyway!

  • @TheLiddleFishKeeper Yeah it's a good way of doing it...same principle than the refugium a safe heaven for copepods to reproduce... just more expensive...

    Thanks for the comments...

  • quick question... my red scooter blenny doesnt move?? or go fine food i have the tank set up just how it should be but he doesnt look good. can you help??

  • @Joshh2k10 It sounds like your scooter is sick... Did you just get it? Something it happen like that and they don't do well... If he is not moving and he doesn't get any food for more than a couple day it will probably die... Do you have a refugium and is your tank old enough?

  • That Mandarin male is beyond beautiful! He looks so happy and healthy! :) Great job! The Scooter looks amazing as well! They are two of my favorites. :) Keep up the great work. ^.*

  • nice vid

    thanx for the information

  • @MorpheusDreamer13 Ok cool and no problem, but I would still go with a refugium; raise macroalgae there and it helps your tank out a lot.
