i doubt it would work. phalanx has got a pretty short range and the rocket would have disperse its' sub-munition b4 it even enters the phalanx firing range.
@adguy10 - Ya I would. i have spent enough time around active duty soldiers, holding their hands through shit that is the daily life of an NG or reservist. By "breeds warriors", are you really talking about active duty? Do you really think that active duty breeds warriors anymore then men and women working a normal job, seeing their wives/husbands and children knowing that they have to leave them behind because some other group of people has threatened their way of life?
@Mr4433 - so you would take the group of people who only train for war 1 weekend a month. 2 weeks a year in the field, plus the "train up" to deployment (about a month) over the group of people who train for war nearly everyday, who live in an environment that breeds warriors, and who are much more mentally and physically ready for war because of their consistent training?

@vcz11 Because it would probably lose its mobility, which is it's main characteristic

WRONG.
Many Afghan people did NOT support the Taliban government of pre-2001.

I always wondered why the pod is 3x2 tubes, not 4x2. 4x2 would be capable of holding TWO atacms... ;)
