This is the first episode of a series on life in the universe. Looking for life in the universe isn't like looking for your car keys. It's hard to know where to even start. The best place to start is probably by NOT trying to find alien civilizations, but rather ANY kind of life we can.

The problem is, civilizations live and die in the blink of an eye compared to the lifecycles stars. They could come and go and we'd never know it.

  • I would say if there is other life, we have the coolest planet. TEAM EARTH! WOoooooo

  • if the TRILLIONS of dollars we waste on stupid WARS was spent on SCIENCE especially SPACE EXPLORATION we probably would know of other life by now. Can you imagine SETI and NASA having the same kind of funding as the military?

  • @Zurround100 There wouldn't be wars if this wonderful god people talked about left out evil when "he" created this universe. Why wouldn't such a wonderful god just leave out the most evil things like war?

  • there is probably life in the Milky Way other than earth. that means that life in the universe is as abundant as wars are on earth

  • The universe is HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS of galaxies large. We only really know that one planet contains life for sure. All the other solar systems, galaxies, possibly universes... I can guarantee you without second guessing that there is life out there, with incomprehensible civilizations lightyears ahead of ours. Common sense, people!

  • @Zurround100 Well said!!!! Add to the dollars wasted to the tremendous amount of brain power and life lost. Redirect the waste of the planet and it would seem the possibilities truly are endless.

  • @nicktlvfe1 Alright, everybody bring it in. Goooooooooooooo TEAM!!! lol

  • @Zurround100 smartest and most sincere comment every made on Youtube. Two thumbs up my friend.

  • @AdriansPunk I don't agree with your thoughts. We're separated by vast space. If other intelligent life forms know we exists I bet you they wouldn't wait around for a second! They'd contact us in a heart beat because they're curious about us and our planet.

  • I'm not sure how I feel when I think of potential life-forms possibly viewing our sun, and even Earth, with deep-field Telescopes that make Hubble seem weak and inferior to theirs. Imagine if they see Earth so clearly, that it is as visible as our moon to them. Do they want to contact us?. Are they watching our civilisations develop via the TV we broadcast, but decided they would like to remain communication free?. A planet MUST know we exist but I wouldn't want to befriend SOME of us...
