When someone goes into insulin shock, it's important to get sugar and food into that person without forcing it and causing aspiration. Mix sugar with liquids, or rub it on a person's gums when they're in insulin shock, with tips from a street firefighter in this free video on first aid and medical emergencies.

  • @maximilian333 not so much here in the UK i'm afraid

  • people often get nabbed by the police while in a diabetic crisis, because they appear to be drunk on alcohol or on illegal drugs. Cops & firefighters are fortunately being trained to suspect diabetes or head trauma when encountering people with altered levels of consciousness. Thanks Captain!
