The 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is a muscle car, right? An American muscle car. So naturally, the first thing I want to do when I jump behind the wheel is a big American smoky burnout.

"Not here," says Pete Gladysz, the Dodge guy babysitting our test car and riding shotgun, as he looks around the leafy, tranquil residential street we're on in the middle of Pasadena. "Wait 'till we get to the track."

These test drivers suck, My brothers got number 639 of the 6400 original 08 srt8 Challengers and with it i have gotten 4.8 to 60 and 13.12 at 106.1 in the quarter. Wonder if these guys need a new driver?

5.5 is a joke... driver error or it was the same times as the RT

0-60mph in 5.5 seconds? That must be a driver error...I'm not bitching, I mean hell I'm not even a Dodge guy...I'm a Ford guy...But even the old 4.6L powered mustangs were capable of faster 0-60 and 1/4 miles times...I know the Challanger SRT-8 can outrun a 4.6L Mustang.
