  • @Dopeskiski Not an opteron. Look at the socket. This is what all Phenom II engineering samples showed up as before release in cpu-z

    ALL engineering AMD samples are read by CPU-Z as an opteron. This is because before AMD cpu's are branded, they are tested to see if they fall into the opteron standards. If not, they become the mainstream desktop part.

  • and opteron uses socket g34 which is a server motherboard and the phenom uses am2 am2+ and am3 sockets
