@fireline6 - she wasnt going 70 mph. Also, the car that Princess Diana's driver was driving was going well over 70 mph and if I recall he didnt die? He was in a 90s S-Class Mercedes.

... also, this is a full frontal crash... would like to see in an off-set test from IIHS... remember this test is compared to hitting another smaller car.

Unfortunately not as safe as one would think. My uncle had a friend whose girl friend was killed in one of these... she hit a median and it killed her. He was on the passenger side and was seriously injured. I have pics of the crashed Soul, but too graphic to post. The engine flew out 100 ft past the car.
