i'm not a fan of Waka, but i like this.. i don't understand how so many people dislike this.. at least he admits it. He knows he's not a lyrical rapper, and he's right, lyrical rappers don't make money. at least most of'em. And i'm a lyrical rapper, that listens to lyrical rappers lol.. so i respect him for keeping it real

He's right in a sense and it's sad. Jay Z even said that he needed to dumb it down to make money. Nicki Minaj, Drake, Big Sean all dumbed it down to go mainstream. Lupe Fiasco was forced to by his record label and his new shit is garbage but it's selling. He doesn't even like it but people in the industry know how to make money and being good doesn't make money anymore. It's about being hyped up and making "catchy" music. It's a damn shame

@Tha704Hustle LMAO How can you be a rap fan and diss lyrical artists in the same breath? Lyricism made the vocal aspect of hip hop. You need to learn a thing or two, because whether you're from section 8 housing or not, you are definitely displaying a section 8 mentality. Only a dumb ass who actually couldn't understand lyrical hip hop would speak against it. That's like saying schools shouldn't have books. Lyricism and hip hop goes hand and hand bruh.

@Reason2 I think people are disliking the pure ignorance. Plus it takes a low individual to dumb it down and neglect his craft for money. Lots of lyrical artists are paid. Matter of fact many are paid better than many non-lyrical artists. The non-lyrical artists who actually get paid a lot can be counted on your fingers. I rather sell 50,000 units as an independent artist and get 7 bucks per album sold than sell my craft cheaply and get a million units sold at 25 cent per album.
