With these chocobo treasures, I saved between each one. And I would redo each until I got a card that had a unique arrow set. I found a very easy and reliable way to find Ocean, and I somehow figured out how to get the Shimmering Island treasure without aid of the world map.

The object of the cards is to end up with 100 different cards, each with it's own unique arrow set. This will grant you 1500 points in your Tetra Master rank.

I could have gone and played Tetra Master and gotten every other card except these, then gotten these to complete my set. However, the real goal is to get 100 unqiue A cards. What I mean by A card is the second of the four stats on the card. It can be P, M, X or A. The other stats are all a hexidecimal number from 0-F, and they're just there for attack and defense. Most every card you find will be either P or M, on rare occasion you will get an X card. However, it isn't that unlikely every once in a while for your opponent to use an X card, maybe even an A card. I always found that the hassle of turning a P or M card into an X card, then into an A card is much less than finding another card with a different arrow set. In fact, I think the only card I have to worry about that with is my Namingway Card, since I can't get another one of those at this point.

Whatever the case, I still have a LONG way to go before completing that portion of the game. But now, I have all of the chocobo treasures and can complete my task at Chocobo's Paradise.

  • Just in case I misunderstood from your comments, you say it is less of a hassle to turn a P or M into an X, then an A?

Or do you mean that that it is easier to find an X or A and then find another arrow configuration for another card if necessary?

I always take an X or A if it happens to pop up and make adjustments from there.

  • Yes to your second question.

  • Oh and did you complete this with beak level 99 and how many points did you have, and how many points do you want for your final save?

  • My beak level in only at 50-something right now.

  • Just for clarification you will know if the card you just recieved is unqiue because you will gain 15 points to you rank, right?

  • Mmmm, yes. If you have junk cards on the left side of the list that are easily replaceable, then you won't. But in theory, if you only have the cards that you are keeping in your inventory, and then you get a new card that gives 15 points, then it is unique.
