This Mitsubishi elevator is a classic - old-style bell, buttons and indicators that were once common in commercial HDB installations in suburban towns and old shopping centers (such as Shaw Towers). The control panel at the first floor is the most obvious of all. Many of these commercial lifts (others by Schindler) have probably been upgraded under the LUP, but this one is still a survivor.

  • 見た目は日本のものと変わらないね。

  • United Premas.

  • I think it's a standard specification now. ULift have them as well.

  • Anything that's made in China is bound to be criticized regardless of quality. Other than the panoramic design, there isn't really anything unusual.

  • Yes, basically whatever HDB builds after 2000.

  • Boring. Two see-through doors, beeping non-stop, standard LED indicator... It's race against time to record elevators as they get LUP-ed enmasse.

  • Commercial means that they're shops and offices, rather than residential homes. I recall the Paya Lebar, but I'm not sure if they're still there.
