I actually liked both Mike Pinera AND Doug Ingle singing together. They just brought out the very best energy in themselves and the band. And, Larry Reinhardt is a great guitar player.
I had seen Iron Butterfly with Erik Braan in Kansas City in the Summer of '68. And, yes... they were great because their live songs sounded exactly the way we knew them from record. But, 'Metamorphosis' was just a step in a great direction. Could it be because I was 16 and it was 1970 and not 1968?

I believe the original lineup including Danny Weis is still alive....and indeed no price would be too high to see Heavy performed live again.
But this is always been my second favourite album after that, Mike Pinera just brings this song to an entire new level.... It was the whole reason I decided to check out Blues Image, I should owe a tremendous debt to it
