@hiddenoath good question - a virtual instrument means that it is running on your computer (mac/pc) - the visual representation of the keyboard in the video is actually a representation of an actually keyboard being played - so in other words - a virtual instrument means that you are indeed playing it on your keyboard via your computer.

The dispute between what "djent" is has been going on for so long and it's pretty funny but it's getting annoying. Djent is not necessarily a genera of music although throughout the past few years, it has begun to be seen as one. It is initially intended to just be the sound a guitar makes.usually when u see some guitar players playing, you can see them shaping there mouth in funny ways, it's jut there way of trying to get that sound there making out and mimic it with there guitar. Wow, you seem mad. Really no reason to be, calm down. And that was my original opinion of djent as well, but djent has since evolved into its own style. It has a distinct sound, a distinct style of play, and unique little quirks and additions that make it separate of most other styles of music. It has exploded as a movement. There are now dozens of bands that play nothing else. As grudgingly as it is to admit, djent has become yet another subsect of progressive metal.
