Here's an update. After 8 month's, I finally got my batteries back, but no drill motor. I called Rockovich power tool service, they apologized, and will send it right out. They sent me a note with the batteries. it said "Call 1-800-323-4615 as to where to send for warranty service. We NO LONGER DEAL WITH RIDGID FOR WARRANTY SERVICE. Thank you, Ron" Our area used to have 5 service centers, this is the last one, and they are done with them, also. Why do you think that is?

You bought Ryobi afterward and yet Ryobi owns Ridgid.

@Lawnmowercity Emerson Electric owns Ridge Tool and the "Ridgid" brand name. Emerson also makes some (but not all) of the tools sold under the "Craftsman" brand. As pointed out in the Emerson news release, the new "Orange" Ridgid tool line is made under license by TekTronics International (TTI) which is based in Hongkong. TTI is the parent company of Ryobi and One World Technologies...R.I.P. unresearched claims.

@rvrpropertiesllc If good tools weren't cheap, this video would not have been made. My $275 Ridgid drill has spent more time in the shop than in my home. After 8 months, I finally got the new batteries, but no drill motor. There were 5 RIDGID service centers in my area, and the last one in business told me they are no longer going to work with RIDGID. TOO MANY RETURNS! They can't keep up with the demand. Not all "good tools" are good.

@Dicofole Dewalt is fine:) I have a good Milwaukee hammer drill with an inch and a half arbor, you can take concrete core samples with it. It was $600, but I'll have it for a while. I HATE my Milwaukee right angle grinder, though. Too many safety mechanisms. Lot's of good tools out there, but a tool is only as good as it's warranty, I guess. Thanks for watching:)

@Dicofole IMO Dewalt & Makita are the most reliable, most heavy duty tools. Made for real construction not to be used once and put up in the attic. I think a good rule to follow is the more it costs the better the tool. Not that that is always the case but the old saying goes "you cant afford to buy cheap tools."

Ive also had many troubles with rigid tools. Everything of theirs ive used or owned is a piece of shite. I bought a makita a few years ago and it still works like new although it has been abused to an extreme extent. Also screw hitachi, as their tools are mostly shit too although ive had atleast 1 good experience with them.
