Runescape Clan Wars Zombie Invasion Halloween 2010 The final battle w22

For 2 weeks, RuneScape's Clan Wars free for all portal had been under frequent attack. A few Jagex Moderators had been slain and mutated into zombies. Over the two week period gradually more and more fell to the curse. Finally it was decided that something needed to be done, and so, at 8pm on 31st October 2010, the surviving troops gathered in (and around) the Jolly Boar Inn in Varrock world 30, upon the outbreak of rumour that a cure had been discovered.

After waiting for over half an hour, we were informed by Mod French that the cure was to protect a moderator for long enough for the boss jmod to emerge, who then needed to be killed. At almost exactly the same time, there was news of a major attack in the very world we were in! Led by Mod Captain, the people surged to clan wars to deal with this new threat. However, it was soon realised that zombies had overrun more than just one world - with cries for help from worlds 31, 33 and 34. All warriors were needed for what would prove to be a marathon battle.

I personally switched to world 31, for this was a world where my weapons and armour would be of more use. This world was at first very overrun as there were only a handful of players there. Shortly after, Mod French was slain and those of us who had joined with him were left disorganised and leaderless, many of whom turned to Mod Captain and Mod Timbo for a lead. What's more, the zombified Mod French then launched a fresh assault on world 22, splitting our forces still further. More and more jmods fell, more to zombified players than to the actual zombies themselves. For 3 hours we fought to hold off the onslaught. Mod Timbo and Mod Captain left to a save place to recuperate for when reports started to emerge of boss jmods. After the fighting in world 31 abated, I headed to world 22, which was seriously in need of help - about 20 zombies per player. I called in a few people but most were reluctant to go, as Mod Captain had not specifically called for it.

But it turned out that I was in the right place. Eventually Mod Captain called for all members to join world 22 for the final battle, and that the zombie boss was none other than Mod Raven. Free players were to join Mod Timbo on world 30 for an equally epic clash. It is that final battle that I have captured on this video.

@itstht1doodovrthere you don't. Only jmods can go there as they are able to teleport to any spot on the map. Hence why everyone was standing around shooting :p

@legoresidentrunescap yeah there was a bit of confusion at first as to whether he was zombie or human. I attacked him briefly too (was a mod that wasnt mod captain) before I saw he was human and stopped :p
