Now in HD with more footage

This is a video of the concept "nights" version of Sonic Xtreme for Sega Saturn. Looking to produce a concept for a 3D sonic, a Sega USA team either used or closely follwed the design of "Nights" and caused problems internally at Sega. Thinking or knowing that the US team had used their engine, the Japanese nights team had a fit. The engine was scrapped and a different engine, the so called "fish eye" version was used. This engine was later canceled as unworkable.

This video is from the only copy of the game in existence, which sold for nearly $3000 in 2006.

The music you're hearing is the actual game itself.

  • Seriously Sega, just make a 2D HD Sonic with our current graphical power, and include some 3D elements. It would sell like mad, and it would be fun as hell. I'm sick of watching Sonic stuck in the toilet because you are lazy. If anything, sell the rights to Nintendo. Look at the Mario games they make, they are still incredible. Imagine what they could do for Sonic. Sega is just wasting Sonic.

  • I think Adventure Battle 2 wasn't bad, but after that, the series was a slow decline T__T

  • @ASSEMblerEX Why doesn't the music come on for me?

  • @edman2121 How long ago did I comment? You fuckin moron.

  • @denveraic cough sonic generations cough

  • @MY5TCrimson 1.Yes i know

2.Which would be Yuji Naka,Naoto Oshima and Hirokazu Yasuhara. All of these guys dont work for Sega anymore. And im still quite sure Miyamoto would do a good Sonic Game if ever given a chance.

  • @bardhi09 Yes, this game could have been brilliant - if it was released. SEGA could have done a brilliant job with this, but there were too many constraints in development that hindered everything and held it back to the point of cancellation. This game had so much potential, especially when you've actually looked at the files and seen what could have been (check out Chris Senns website)

Forget Miyamoto, he makes his own games, they're called Mario. Leave Sonic to his own creators.

  • @MY5TCrimson Oh piss off will you this game could of been good. And Nintendo would make a great Sonic Game cuz Miyamoto is a genius nuff said.

  • @bardhi09 BS

  • HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE ON A 32 BIT SYSTEM???
