Southwest Tech recently collaborated with many local high schools, including Iowa-Grant, Fennimore, Barneveld, Prairie du Chien, Kickapoo, Platteville, Potosi, Pecatonica, Mineral Point, and Lancaster in a Robot Wars competition focused around STEM education. The STEM movement is a national initiative to teach science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on, project-based learning.
