You have got to watch the debate that Sarah Palin participated in where she said reporters have a right to ask tough questions of women and it would be a disservice if women used the excuse of "There treating me differently because I'm a woman". I live in Wasilla and I can tell you that the majority of people in town don't respect Sarah. She's a joke in our town.

My mom died several months ago after 9 years of leukemia, she was only supposed to live 2. The last year was bad, she needed help to bathe and eat and would often be uncooperative for family. Her doctor asked why did we not have hospice, the answer was that we did not know that Mom was eligible. The last two months of hospice was a godsend, we got to have the best of Mom, she cooperated with her caregivers, and got to live at home.
Everybody dies. End of life counseling is compassionate.

indeed. how something so compassionate and needful could be used in such a shameful and horrific way is beyond the beyond. so sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing your mom's story.
