@Odawg96 It was all about the marriage of R&B, jazz, gospel, funk, and general musicianship. Nowadays trained musicians produce music, but they either produce cracked out jazz music that tries too hard to be original or they make mainstream trash. Ain't no talented musicians in the mainstream ripping raw ass electronic music from the heart. But you know what, when I can, I DJ this stuff out and study it. There is an urban renaissance brewing underground among young computer musicians. Be ready!

This was a great summer jam, when I was living in Barbados (The sun was always shining) and the radio stations gave it excellent airplay. Back in the UK, it sounds just as fresh. My Man Odawg96 I know what you mean. The 80's was the bomb!!!!!!

So many memories! Love me 80's crew! xxxxxx

I've said elsewhere, but this song makes me so happy to be an 80s kid! Listening to it conjures up memories of Atari 2600, arcade games, Saturday morning cartoons, going to 7-eleven for a Slurpee, comic books costing 60- and/or 75 cents. It was a great time. Musically, in the first half of the 80s, musicians got things right: they perfected the balance of live instrumentation and synth technology. After about '84, everything started to go downhill (except for Prince and his peeops).
