  • The big mystery is that you can't see any leads....And I don't think they were already using emitters from the guitars to the amplifiers in 1963-1964 ????

  • That year onwards had the Shadows and Cliff into a new style, haircuts etc. At the same time as the Beatles were growing their styles in Liverpool.

  • Historic!

  • @oopsadaze Who cares about that?

  • Pure Showmanship Ray Charles and James Brown would be proud!

  • I say, Mr. Charles? Fancy a package of Crisp?

  • @Kramnosnits Looking at this, I would date in from 1965. Firstly the Shadows are playing Burns guitars which they started using from late 63/early 64 and also their haircuts which are probably a bit long for 1963. Lastly the line up is the Marvin Welch Bennett Rostill one. John Rostill the bass player didnt join until 10th Nov 63, given the need for rehearsal time 1963 is unlikely.Great clip I have to say.

  • Yeah, to have been young and in England before 1964.

  • best performance of cliff r. ever

  • @Kramnosnits No this is the Burns era of the shadows if you look Hank is playing a 12 stringed burns John and Bruce are on the white burns marvin.
