@PaulDePace Actually, the "584" changes to "#556" when The Ronettes segment begins. And the tip of the tail end of a Radio Free Europe PSA may be seen just before that. So, from where was this film obtained? Do you know of its originating source?
@PaulDePace Also, for what does the "WPA #584" stand? Old as this clip is, it is not so old the "WPA" would stand for "Works Progress Administration," a program of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's "New Deal"
So I am guessing "W" is for "Warner," and "P" for "Philles," and this was copied or transferred in the period when His Highness had a distribution deal with Warner Brothers' Special Products. But that's probably not correct either. Can you clear up the mystery?
@PaulDePace Where did the obtrusive counter come from, that is almost right in the middle of the screen? I have a few "Hullabaloo" videos (on VHS, from MPI Home Video), and never saw a counter on any of them.
I know The Ronettes performance segments from those MPI episodes of "Hullabaloo" were removed, because of the pervasive arm of one Harvey Phillip Spector. So from which source did you obtain this?
Too bad there's not any video of this segment without the counter.
@Desiree50able I think Estelle was a lovely young girl anyway. She seemed to have a quiet, lady-like quality about her and was sought after by the likes of George Harrison, Mick Jagger, and some other of the biggest stars of their generation. Only at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame it was obvious what years of poverty and lack of dental care did to her over the years. Nedra even said in an interview after Estelle's passing how the guys used to really go for her.
I don't care When Lola is coming back. Ronnettes all the way
