  • Is that the peterson Irish Flake? From the reviews I assume that is what you are talking about....sounds amazing!

  • Good review. I agree that it's monochromatic or one-dimensional.

It's a pleasant smoke but a bit bland for me. Probably the reason why you smoke your English blend AFTER the OGS, I'd guess. Otherwise it would totally overpower the second bowl if done in reverse.

It's interesting that you find it high in nicotine.

I've got to say I found it to be an all round mild tobacco. Mild in taste and strength.

However, I'm mainly smoking Irish Flake just now, which is a nic bomb.

Try it if you havent yet

  • Great review. I'm not a great fan of Orlik Golden Sliced personally, but I can appreciate the blend. It has a tin aroma that is peculiar to Danish blenders. I prefer the K&K blended golden Virginia flakes such as F&T Cut Virginia Plug. I do love Squadron Leader. Just cellared a 250 gram box into jars. Word of advice on SL: make sure to dry it out on a sheet of paper before smoking it. It comes moist and is so much better on the dry side. Cheers and enjoy!
