Finally, something that both the progressive and conservative populace MUST agree on- kill this bill. Dr. Dean and Thom are right. This is gift to insurance companies. Oh, sure, you won't be able to be denied coverage, but is ther a cap on what they can charge for a pre-existing condition- three times what they would charge a 'healthy' person. Kill the bill, go for reconcilliation- get it done with 51.

Many people of color who have been allowed to ascend to high places have been bought and sold by monied interests. Obama's only connection to slavery is through his wife Michelle, who had slave ancestors. Other than that, I'm not sure how it is relevant.
