Hello I'm from Trabzon too. My father is from Tonya/Iskenderli. He told me that his grandfather and grandmother could talk the language called Romeika. Even my grandfather can talk it.. Today this village Iskenderli, Tonya is only one of Greek-Speaking villages.. Do you know anything about this village.. Are this speakers Hellenic or not.. Thanks for your answers

i have to say they called them turk pontians its not right...muslim pontians is the right word...naionality is not only given by passport...i i dont know if the most feel turkish..but if the most know that they roots are greek... 3 years ago my serbian friend was in my hometown and he said to me..those greeks here look like turks in Germany..i said to him...the turks look like greeks..than he belive what i say again and again..tha in turkey live many greeks which are converted by ottomans

I'm a turkish guy from Gumushane, near Trabzon.
We have a lot of greek culture in this area.
I never know that the dancing called HORON in Greece too.
This is cool that we have so much similarity.
I like that greek people still living their and I would be sad if this people leave turkey.
It's boring to have only one culture in one place.
