A government delegation has just had a date with the chief mediator of the Kenya peace process Koffi Annan and it turns out religious leaders are also seeking a date of their own with Annan next week. While the government team led by justice minister is in Geneva lobby Annan for more time before he hands over the list of masterminds of the 2007 post election violence to the international criminal court in their Hague, the church leaders want to lobby that the list be handed over to ICC immediately. And as Alex Chamwada reports, the churches' position was supported by justice minister Martha Karua who claims that both President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are not keen to have the tribunals in place.
can't fool anybody except themselves...Ocampo should lock these three already in Geneva and save costs.
