@bertfrantic Leeds were ultra professional. Unfortunately this included hounding refs, Giles/Hunter/Bremner/Charlton kicking lumps out of the opposition. Accusations from Bob Stokoe that Revie attempted to bribe him while managing Bury have added to this almost seige mentality at Leeds.
Jimmy Armfield recounts that when managing Leeds post Revie, when allowing the players more freedom on the park, that they themselves began to think they had been stifled, under achieved in the past.

@cozener1 Lee certainly liked falling over in the opposition penalty area. But when it comes to dodgy practices Revies Leeds were in a league of their own, which was always a shame as they had some great players and probably should have won more than they did.
