No it doesn't. You can't honestly tell me this sounds better than Sonic the Hedgehog, Ristar, Dynamite Headdy, Streets of Rage, Alien Soldier, Vectorman, Ecco the Dolphin 2, Pulseman, Castlevania Bloodlines, Rocket Knight Adventures, Sparkster, M.U.S.H.A., or Gunstar Heroes.
Gimmick! sounds great, but better than EVERYTHING on the Genesis? That's just stupid.

@meidc: that's because the japanese famicom version of this game has a built in sound chip within the cart, only to be used in this game, it added a big extra flavor to the sound image =)

EPIC! wish I could find a english version of this rom. the music is AMAZING. the FME-07. NES never ceases to amaze me.

no wonder, theyre both made by sunsoft. CV3 also sounds awesome.

This game uses a special chip for better graphics and sound (FME-7).
Only this and Batman - Return of Jocker use it.
Just like Castlevania 3, only with a different kind of chip.
