I'm organizing Day of Silence at my school this year.
i'm in 7th grade at an arts school and im getting alot of grief about it, but im gonna do it anyways. im working on posters and getting silence cards handed out.

I hated this day at my school; I kept getting dirty looks all day because I was talking.

This is the greatest!! We need to bring attention to the abuse these people go through on a daily basis. I am not gay, but...We need to accept it as a natural thing. My school wont acknowledge it. Our faculty says it will be "disruptive".
I AM SO proud of kids and the hard work they do to show this to the world!

I think it's awesome that 8th graders are being made aware of the Silence and are taking part of the action to end it. This is the first I've heard of a class below 9th grade taking action, and it just goes to show how raising awareness has progressed education in a positive way over the years! Good work!
