In this video tutorial I will go over how to set-up the Sony Nex-7 to use adapters and get the best focus possible when using manual focus. I will also show you how the built in Aperture works on the Fotodiox adapter. More here: http://sonyalphalab.com/2012/01/how-to-setting-up-and-using-lens-adapters-on-...

You can get many nice SuperTakumar lenses with M42 mount or Zeiss and pentax with contax mount.

  • @groomlake67 Hi Groomlake67 ... please advice which lenses to buy (good quality for the buck)? Thanks newbee :)

yes any manual lens with a coresponding adapter and a manual aperture control does not need this "fake" aperture thingy. It´s because the canon EF´s does not have manual control for apreture. So go get some nice old nikkor, olympus or pentax glass for no money and a couple of adapter rings and you are all set ;)

  • If you use the Rokinon, you can just get a tube adapter as the Rokinon has aperture ring on lens correct?

  • Thanks
