Yamaha artist Don Alder demonstrates the Yamaha A1M acoustic electric guitar.

For this video we plugged the A1 into a Roland AC33, added a little reverb and eq, and ran it direct out of the amp into our mixer. We combined this direct signal with a Shure Beta 181 mic placed in front of the instrument. Some playing examples use either the pickup or mic exclusively.

  • What Mic were you using? And you just sold a Yamaha A1m to me good job =]

  • @JeffreyYaws

That is a relatively new small-diaphragm condenser by Shure called the Beta 181...in particular the Beta 181C, the cardioid version. Feel free to contact me with any other questions and thanks for your business!

  • are you sure this isn't the rosewood back and sides version (A1R)?..

  • @TheSMGuitar

Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the A1 acoustic electric. Yes, I'm sure...the instrument we used in this video is definitely the A1M with mahogany back and sides. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
