@diabetishead Thanks- It's an impressive hill in person. I couldn't climb it with my dirt bike and a paddle tire. if I could get my lazy butt out there again I think it could make it with the MMM set up. I was running stock tires too. I think paddles would make a difference too. I hope I never have to climb that gravel hill again though.

I'll be adding some new videos soon. I switched the set up from the V-Twin to the Mamba Monster Max. It was fast before, but now it's crazy fast. The MMM is almost too much for the chassis. I replaced 3 different drive shafts before I had to switch to metal CVD's.
The V-Twin setup can probably be pretty difficult for a beginner, but if you search google or go to the Traxxas forums people should be able to help. If you have a couple VXLs laying around, WHY NOT give it a go??? 30-35 mph on NiMh and 50+ mph on 3S Lipos, not bad in my book!!!! I had an E-Maxx V-Twin which is easier to set up, but still pretty insane. I like the setup personally....plus it looks intimidating and badass!!!!

@gestekoe Ya, you're right. When I built the V-Twin set up it was back when Castle Creations was still having problems with their ESC's frying. The V-Twin had a lot of power, but it was hard to sync. I ended putting a MMM and a single motor on it about a month ago and I love it. It's faster now and it's easier to deal with. It's not as cool looking as the V-Twin though.

This is one of those hills that you just have to see. The only chance you have at climbing it is to lay on the throttle. The tires I'm running in this video are stock. Better tires would make a difference, but you almost need paddles. You really can't see how tall the hill is until you see me climb up it.
