Amreeka (National Geographic Entertainment) US Limited Release Date: 09.04.09

Amreeka is a 2009 drama film written and directed by Cherien Dabis, her debut feature film. Amreeka premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, and was later screened at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France where it won the FIPRESCI Prize. It was screened at a number of festivals worldwide and opened for limited release in the United states on September 4.
