Louisiana Missouri, Located in Northeast Missouri on the Mississippi River. This is a historical video I created for the 2008 Annual Chamber of Commerce banquet. This takes many back in time to what the town looked like as much as a hundred years ago. This video is available for purchase (in full resolution at full length) at the Louisiana Missouri Chamber of Commerce office. There is a limited supply, once gone no more will be made. • Jeff--Hats off to you for this spectacular video montage of hometown, LA, MO. I especially enjoyed the final shot of the person holding the poster hailing Louisiana's future. When was that pic taken?

  • Elizabeth - the shot of the person holding the poster dates back to the late 1800's.

  • This is beautiful! I can't describe how it makes me feel... I could watch it all day!

I think it should be slower, though, I can't read the words and look at the picture with out rolling it back. Beautiful!

  • Very nicely done. My dad was born there

  • I grew up in Pike County (Annada, MO) and traveled these La. streets many times. I remember the old stores - Marie's, J&M Market, Mercantile Bank is where I opened my very first checking acct.(1968) My husband of 26 years proposed overlooking the bridge. I remember when Walmart came in. Wow, the memories. Really enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

  • Wonderful video! My grandparents Elizabeth and Hurley Lame lived there their whole life. My grandpa would have been 100 years old today.

  • they should of showed the trains there to

  • this is great, really shows off louisiana's history, makes me proud to live there

  • We live in Meredosia and went there today to watch the eagles! This was a beautiful video. Also Louisiana has alot of art painted on the buildings--great!

  • This video made me cry! I was born in Louisiana on March 25, 1962, and can trace my roots back to the early 1820s. Although I have lived in Jefferson City for approximately the past thirty-four years, my heart still belongs in Louisiana.
