Heres some footage shot in 1992. We wanted to experiment with filming things backwards & then playing it forwards on an edit suite. Unfortunatly we couldn't record it that way at the time due to the equipment not keeping a stable picture.

Forward 15 years later, I am now able to do something with the footage on the PC! I used AviSynth & VirtualDub to reverse the footage first, then edited it on Windows Movie Maker.

  • I was born in 1971! You win - me old (but got to grow up during the 70's & 80s!).

  • I dunno why this hasn't gotten more exposure, its great! have you done any more backwards stuff since?

  • Hi,

Sorry for the late reply by 10 months. I should really pay more attention! No, we haven't done any more stuff for over 15 years. This is all old college stuff from the early 90's. All very embarrassing, but amusing for some. Loathed by others too I expect :)

  • No, I'm afraid not. But it isn't that difficult. In fact, I learnt how to do it by watching 'Ayumilove Windows Movie Maker Tutorial (Part 2)' here on Youtube. Make sure to read through his notes at the top as well by clicking (more).
