FF9 is by FAR the greatest game in the series. I absolutely HATED FF7, and I can't understand for the life of me how some people think that it's better than FF9. I wish Square Enix would remake FF9 with PS3 graphics.

@BlackFox0911 um....no...BOTH games were good, I don't really think of either as better or worse than the other...I loved both games and "for the life of me" can't understand why anyone hates on either one. I wish all the original 9 would be remade with PS3 graphics.

Oh yeah, of course he did all this because he is of course the main villian. But seriously, he did more damage to your characters directly then indirectly! It wasn't just a matter of the worlds life! It was VERY personal! Sure, Sephiroth doesn't shoot god like beams of light...or destroy worlds in the fashion of Kuja...but he could still kick their asses, Sephiroth's story, I don't think, is really fully told. He is so much more then you make him out to be!

And you say all he had was killing Aries?he has ruined the lives of the chars! if you ACTUALLY pay attention,almost all the suffering is tied in some way to sephiroth,not only that, but his name means "Choosen One".By the end of the game,he has tortured not only the world,but your own characters! Sephiroth was a great Villian! DO NOT DISRESPECT THE ONE WINGED ANGEL OF DEATH!

@BlackFox0911 FF7 wasn't bad. I actually liked the diversity, switching to minigames and stuff. It was a little too depressing that is true, however you can't call it bad. I like them equally, but FFIII is still the best I've ever played, if you ignore the whole I'm the evil dark cloud bullshit at the end. Kuja and Xande should've been final bosses, just like Zant from Twilight Princess.

@ShadowBlade4d4 Yeah, but so was Kuja. He wasn't JUST another villian, Kuja also ruined the party member's lives. I would say how, but it'd spoil it for everyone. ~3~ But as far as I can tell, He's made Zidane confused, made Garnet mute, made Vivi on the verge of collapsing, and made the weapons possible to kill off hundreds of people on the world he didn't destroy and almost killed off all of Freya's race of rat people. So I do think that he's a very good villian... I mean horrible. XD Eeeeevil

Some keep saying Sephiroth is Square's ultimate bad guy. But just think about this :

Sephiroth destroyed an entire village and tried to destroy the world.

Kuja destroyed an entire world and tried to destroy existence itself.

Make of that what you will.
