This is a TINY Tuscan town that we found on a non-descript road on Sunday, November 16, 2008. On the left side of the road are houses, on the right, a medieval abbey. Founded in 1049 by Saint John Gualgano. This was the first time I had seen donkeys here in Italy. We noticed the donkeys on the way IN to town...and on the way OUT of town, the donkeys were feasting on the olive branches chopped down by the farmers. Olive harvesting time. Notice anything DIFFERENT?! I am NOT driving--for the first time in 10 months--HOORAY!! I was a PASSENGER!
