  • Stuart Law and Slats got a bowl? Did Australia know they were going to win or something? lol

  • Stu Law was often called upon to bowl mediums in those days, probably why he got picked.

  • Sometimes, if the match starts late than the set time, then they reduce the overs, so that both the sides can bat in proper lighting. Probably, thats why this match had only 47 years. And also, this pitch doesn't seem to have any flood-lights either.

  • It was 2 years before the lights came online in Adelaide.

  • Yeah, why was it a 47 over per side game? There doesn't seem to be or have been any rain in that game.

  • Rained before play apparantly.

  • Ian Bishop was an excellent bowler. He was devastating before he suffered a serious lower back injury, but he came back and re-modelled his bowling action with less stress on his lower back. He lost some of his amazing speed, but still bowled very accurately and in fact took a lot more wickets before he retired as well. An excellent player for the windies he was.

  • I was wondering why Michael Saliter was dropped from 1996 World Cup's squad , he was the most destructive batsman.

  • think heals was a bit deep for slater!
