A video I created with images of the park as it is today in 2008 and as it was in the past.

The song used is A Modern Myth by 30 Seconds to Mars. This particular version was sung by myself.

The photos from this video are from online, my own collection, taken by me and from Spinner Publications "Lincoln Park Remembered" book.

"Keep the Park in Lincoln Park" is an idea I hope to see become a reality. For more information please visit my website at

  • I'm confused on why there is a wedding reception picture of the Kennedy's on here? Their reception was out doors indeed but in Rhode Island not North Dartmouth. lol still a great video.

  • @kevykev38

That was not a wedding reception but some type of ceremony celebrating Senator Kennedy. I don't have the book handy right now to see exactly what it was.

  • the entire state of massachusetts is depressing

  • I enjoyed this, though it was a bit sad. Growing up, some of my best childhood memories was at Lincoln Park I was finally tall enough to go on the roller coaster right before it closed down, that will always stay with me. Grown our first house was purchased right down the street and my children always asked when we drove by about going there and what was it like. They wished someone would open it back up. How lovely would that be to be able to bring my children there and make new memories So sad

  • So sad when a amusement park closes down. and seeing pictures of the past makes it sadder bacause you see many memories!

  • @Cormak -- It was for his birthday, in 1956. Among other famous guests, Senator Albert Gore of Tennessee was there.

  • going to Lincoln park was the highlight of my childhood. went maybe 5 or 6 times altogether , It was as big and magical and cool a place as you can imagine, mini golf, the giant slide, Finally getting old enough to ride the BIG coaster...you can't go home again....

  • Thanjnks for the grat video. Rocky Point, Lincoln Park, Jolly Cholly's, Cresent Park! All parts of our past that we should have fought harder to keep. Now we all have to overpay to go to Six Flags and other attractions.

  • My grandmother tells me stories about this place

    It sounded so fun.

It's a shame it had to shut down =(

This video is very good but sort of depressing

You did a good job on it.

I wish it would have stayed open.

    *sigh* that's life i guess =/

  • @summerrain02790 I agree... it is king of sad. This was a park as well as Paragon Park that my family and I would go to when I was a kid and even as a teen. Both gone now. :-(

  • @heyheymovies Hey heyheymovies- if you do go can you let me know what is left? Or post pictures? Thanks!

  • I live right next to this and i have photography class where we have to take pictures of old things. I think I might go to the park and have a look around! Good idea?
