real nice but the tempo is a bit too fast. Bill Evans this kind of slow
-
Look! Casey is play stand-up bass!
-
@cotton4545 and now he is on american idol!
-
Casey Abrams play stand-up bass ~~~nice!!!
-
@cotton4545 holy crap, that was kind of prophetic

This is really cool. Props from Michigan!

Bill Evans has the best rendition of Autumn Leaves I've heard so far. You definitely do it justice. Wish the camera angles were better to see the group as a whole better.

So well trained. Should be no problem to get them to say "just doing my job".
-
That bassist is my new idol, not kidding i just started learning jaz, im 14, and he appears to be amazing

Plenty of drummers use matched grip nowadays. Look at guys like Bill Stewart and Ari Hoenig.
Nice job on the cover.
But i could've sworn this is Bill Evans cover (take 2) on his "Portrait in Jazz" album.
Bassist is good. But the drummer should've used the ride not the crash/ride. Too pingy for my liking, but perhaps you guys wanted that. And any reason why u chose to use the matched grip and not trad?
Just curious
Good work

Thanks for the catch on the arrangement. Drummer plays matched grip sometimes due to initial rudimental training for drum line with matched grip. The overall sound was not well balanced due to recording from the camera mic only.
