Yes you are correct the vowels are difficult in french tu and vous are the same but when in a sentence it becomes different.

when we use the verb 'aimer' with the pronoun 'je' it becomes j 'aime like you said since 'e' is a vowel but why is it 'tu aimes' when 'u' is also a vowel.
