No disrespect to the legacy of Hilel, but John Frusciante did a much better job at this song at the one show he performed it in than all the ones Hilel did.

Frusciante may be THE guitarist of the chilli peppers. but you can never forget that Hillel died too young and never had a chance to mature his music.

Totally agree with you. When they start this all think, they played real funk, but when John come in a band, everything changed.(Don't understand me wrong, for me Frusciante is a god), they became more melodical, BSSM is the only album with John that is something to funk, others album is just rock, ofc those riffs like: Snow, dosed and etc its great, but that not funk... "I'm with you" for me is totally shit, the whole reason why people can listen that album is Bass line's:)
