Grand Central is the only horse that i know of that is as good as what Travelin' Suzie was. He wasn't as good but he was REALLY close. The people on here that said Tom Williams keeps his head down. That is becuase he looks between Grand Central's ears that a true rider. Also, he bounces because thats the way he rides and if you have a problem with that then take it up with the rider not with the internet. Happy Riding

@TravelinSuzie117 Nice comment from one he was not born when Suzzi was in the ring. What more you can say, look between the ears and bounce around. You better ride a bike and stay away from riding a horse.

Grand Central, one of the best Ive seen go around that ring in a long time, and Ive not missed a night of the Celebration since 1978. Any of you armchair, internet, wanna be experts that have been in the breed 5-6 years ever get one half as good as him, then come on the internet and complain, maybe then your complaint will carry somewhat of a hint of merit.

Best horse in the ring, maybe with on other rider. Horse show is not a back garden party or Circus. I a World Champion Ship? The Management, the judges have to follow the rules. The MFTHA Rules were brocken: Page 55, section 2 A-4c. Page 56-15, Page 57 section 3 A-4, Page 27 section 1 A, Page 69 section 1 B-4, Page 81 G, Page 21 section 2, Page 81 G Equitation/Horsemanship, Page 81 G.

The horse and the rider is not the point, it just the result.

I'm a confused newbie. On the "About The Breed" section of the MFTHBA site the first thing they say is "THE MISSOURI FOX TROTTING HORSE IS KNOWN BEST FOR THE COMFORT IT AFFORDS IT RIDER" If this is true, how in the world did the judges place this horse first, especially at their premier show? The poor rider looked like a sack of potato's bouncing around up there. His equitation made it appear he had trouble staying on. I'll take the COMFORT of my steady old trail horse over a rough show winner

@AnimalLeftist I've ridden MFTs and TWH all my life and never once have I rode with such poor equitation. People watch my videos of me on my foxtrot mare and they're like "Who knew gaited horse people could ride!" Because I present a horse. Isn't that the point of a horse show? To SHOW your horse? These people are ruining the reputation of the gaited horse world. People need to learn to ride correctly before they ever put on a pair of spurs, touch the staff of a whip, or show a horse.

What has happened to this breed? This is horrible--they all look as bad as the Big Lick TWHs. Spurring the horse at every stride, rides completely crooked, the horse clearly strung out & struggling--THAT is what wins a championship? I've also heard they're now soring these horses. I am sickened by the gaited horse industry in general. The lack of education and proper horsemanship astounds me. Thanks, Miller Ranch--I've been to your ranch many times, & I have seen how TRUE MFTs should ride.

I'll admit I've been out of the foxtrotter showring for awhile, but this video alarmed me. I havent seen hunched up poor equitation like that since the monkeys rode the dinosaurs on The Flintstones........the first place horse was obviously miserable, nice pinning of the ears, and gotta love the spurring he got every stride. The cantering made me cringe. Way to ruin a great breed.

Its really sad how absolutley fantastic all these horses are, but the riders look like frogs straddling horses. WERE IS THE EQUATION?!?! Honestly. You're at the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!! Could you please present your horse? Please sit up, stop flopping your legs about like kangaroos, quit throwing your hands around, roll your shoulders back and RIDE. I swear to you. Its people like this that make people say "Gaited horse people can't ride...." Fabulous horses.... Terrible riding.....

Grand central is the ONLY horse getting the spurred sh*t of him...watch it. Everytime the rider hits his l-o-n-g spurs into his side Grand Central's head jolts up. I'd like to see how he rides without spurs. In fact spurs should be banned in this one. Horse with the natural and spirit ability should win.
