Northbound train passes through Old Orchard Beach, Maine, headed for the Last Stop in Portland Maine. Notice the NPCU [Non-Powered Control Unit] bringing up the markers. It is a FP40PH, now converted into a baggage car. It carries the DownEaster emblem!

  • The horn is as good as ever isn't it?

  • MY ENGINE!!!

  • That crossing bell was weird. I've never heard of them turning off, and then turning back on again while the train is approaching it. That engine is another weird thing. 107's home is usually on the Springfield Line between New Haven, CT and Springfield, MA. It has been assigned to the Lake Shore Limited connection between Boston's South Station and Albany, NY, but the fact that it made its way to North Station to be on the Downeaster is pretty amazing.
