As a Birth Mother, I must say it's families like yours that gave me the strength to get out of bed in the morning. No matter how heart broken I was, I never regretted my decision to place my son with his parents.
So.. thank you.

@selitafine I thought most of you guys felt that way, sorry. I'm glad that there are still good people out there, even online.

@Allina277 no one says u have to read what stupid people say, by pass it.... read good comments sweetie

@selitafine That's because you guys make it about color, and call us monkeys and crap. You'll see it all over youtube, why don't you just look!!!

@Allina277 that was the dumbest comment i ever heard. color means nothing, love is for all and this lil girl is so lucky. wow.....
@ Adriaticsea, thank you so much for your comment. It probably means the most to me because you, you know what adoption means in terms of grief, loss and long term hope. The one most humbling experience in my life was having our daughter's Birth Mom entrust us with her/our daughter. It is of a depth that no one can measure. So it's to you I say...thank you.
Here's hoping you have a life-long open adoption with your son and the family you chose in your adoption plan for him.

Thanks so much everyone - but in the end it's about the Birth Parent who chose us. To her we're incredibly grateful.

I truthfully didn't know that you white people even loved black people that much.

@Allina277
I don't know what to say to that. It's just so out of my realm of thinking, that I'll have to reflect on this for a while - maybe a lifetime!
We don't just adore her because she's our daughter, but love her Birth Mom and Birth siblings too. But I think it's more about the relationship (who wouldn't love the woman who gives you her child?) and not about the race. Although I have to admit, my daughter's skin color, her eyes, her hair, are absolutely gorgeous!

I just want you to know don't worry about anyone hating on you because your baby is black. I was adopted from Africa by a white family and truth is I don't even think about it. To me my parents are my parents and that's that.

@SnapleLover Thanks for your comment!. When adopted A-heritage adults are interviewed about the realities of being a different race than their families, they say the same thing as you do that they love their families. What they do struggle with, however, is not learning to see differences. They were different, but around them everyone was the same.
I think if anyone ever made a comment about us having a Blk child I would laugh at them. We were chosen by our daughter's Birth Mom.
