Just run water injection if you want to go lean and gain some hp. I was on 13:1 dead flat on 14psi on a gt2871 on my old 98 stock Bp05 with NO INTERCOOLER and it lasted for 3 years with no problems before I sold the car. At 13:1 and 4X60cc water injectors in the runners my exhaust temp were 200 deg lower than with 10.5 :1 and no water.

And the more fun is that water doesn't cost anything.
