@sebalisdavis Haha, Ewing. Priceless. That's like saying that Jordan is one of the best SG's of all time but then placing him 9th or 10th on a top 10. I'm literally laughing over that right now

@sebalisdavis And that was 1 example in 180 characters I had. Countless examples of former greats who couldn't coach/manage. There is no correlation, or cause and effect to finding great talent

@sebalisdavis Ewing is barely a top 10 center of all time and blocking him on help side d doesn't make him better. Jordan couldn't handle him in the post and ewing couldn't defend him on the perimeter

@rosendah he wasnt the only one who thought brown would be good... danny ainge played too and look at the team he built. so citing an example that is a possible outlier is not productive for the argument you are trying to make

@rosendah first of all, how many times did he dunk/swat/just absolutely poo on ewing, who is one of the greatest centers ever... and sorry my memory is kind of rusty because he has done so many phenomenal things.
it shows how little knowledge you have when you say that playing basketball means nothing when it comes to evaluating talent... playing makes you see 100% how hard the things he did actually were. and playing gives one knowledge of the game so that they are able to see who is good.
