Also Emily and Stan hit Mexico, not the US. Pretty sure based on the graphic he was talking about the US Gulf Coast

They said Hurricanes hitting the Gulf coast IN OCTOBER, it is still not that common

In 2005 the only hurricane to hit the US Gulf Coast was Wilma, no storm hit the US Gulf Coast in October in 2008

The key word was IN OCTOBER, it is again still rare

I lived in alabama when opal hit we lost power for 5 days i remember being 6 years old spending the night in a hotel in columbus georgia for about 4 nights after that this brings me back

Beta didn't make landfall in the Gulf Coast... it hit Central America.

You got that right about becoming a Category 2 but off how it got before landfall: almost a 5 before wakening to a 3.

that average did not affect the 2008 hurricane season. Gustav and Ike made landfall on the gulf coast in 2 weeks. In 2005, Hurricanes Cindy,Dennis,Emily,Katrina,Rit­a,Stan, Wilma, and Beta made landfall on the gulf coast as hurricanes
