According to BKS Iyengar, Salamba Sarvangasana is the 'Mother of all Asanas'.
It has numerous benefits and I have listed just a few.
•Calms the brain and helps relieve stress and mild depression
•Stimulates the thyroid and prostate glands and abdominal organs
•Improves digestion
•Helps relieve the symptoms of menopause
•Reduces fatigue and alleviates insomnia
•Therapeutic for asthma, infertility, and sinusitis

  • Roberta thanks very much for posting this video, I'll be trying this version of the shoulderstand when I practise later today. As I've been doing shoulderstand after back bends it look like a good way to transition from one to the other.
