@qwertyness4 people tend to confuse difference of belief, or simply higher qualifications in or knowlage of a given subject as arrogance.
I guess they just dont want to admit thier shortcomings (ignorance and or bigotry) so they instead stamp other people with undeserved and unjustified shortcomings.

@Charlymaumushi Yeah, I agree with you. It is very basic, but the unfortunate fact is, many, many people don't even have this most basic level of understanding of evolution. That's why Dawkin's work is so great, he spells out even the most simple aspects of science with such lucid detail.
