Lost dog I found

July 16 07 His name is Barkley. He wandered into the backyard and didnt want to leave. It was hot out so I gave him water and he just relaxed for awhile. He seemed so scared and sad. I wanted to keep him...I felt so bad for him. I brushed his hair too because he was shedding off his winter coat.
But I found his owner and he came to pick Barkley up. His owner seemed friendly. He said this was the second time Barkley has ran away in 2 days.

Ya. Thats what I was thinking. But I couldnt. It turned out he lived just a couple houses away from us.

Barkley looks like he had a ruff life, his owner might have acted friendly, alot of people abuse their animals. And when they run away and find the dog they act like they don't do anything to the dog, you'd be suprised how many people abuse their animals.

I'm amazed at how many people assume that the owner must've "done something" to make Barkley run away. My ex and I had a dog that would run any chance she got. Not because we abused her but because that's what she liked to do. I'm not saying that abuse doesn't happen because it does far too much but not ALWAYS. The second our dog knew she was off her leash or she'd find a way thru the fence she'd run. And we spoiled her silly! Go figure.

Hmm well maybe the owner was yelling at someone on the phone or something and he got scared, one time my Aiunts dog did that, we actually found him at a cottage close by (we were at her cottage) he camme back happy, he thought they were yelling at him, but your nice I wouldve kept him :P

honestly, it could have just been the sound in the background. i lived with a roommate who had a dog & whenever the vacuum cleaner was on, he would come to my room to chill. also he got scared during thunder & fireworks...it was the noises that made him look for someone to comfort him & hang out with...

i have 6 dogs 3 strays 2 rescued from kennals 1 purchased pedegree yes i know i spelt it wrong but im not worried they r all chipped so we can get them if they run away but they r trained so thats unlikley they r called spot sparkle jamie pepsi chloe snowball

He looked fine other than being scared at the roaring noises in the background. Glad he was returned home. Oh and you shoving the camera in his face.
